Susan Hammock

Performance Coach

Susan Hammock, Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, is a Performance Coach with Pivot, joining the Newport News team in January 2021. She has over 20 years experience as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Much of Susan’s experience has been grounded in serving the military communities which included active duty, retirees and dependents. She also introduced health and fitness to patients who underwent weight loss surgery with the Center for Weight Loss Success. As a group fitness instructor at Onelife Fitness, Susan oversaw multiple yoga and Piyo classes, creating new formats and workouts for patrons.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hollins University, VA. She has been accredited in personal training with the Cooper Institute and the American Fitness and Aerobics Association.

Susan enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, going to the beach, reading and volunteering in the Hampton Roads area. Her husband, Gordon, is a retired US Air Force JAG officer. She is a mother of 3: Gabriel, 1st LT US Army, Grace, 2nd year nursing student with Bons Secours and Samuel, high school student, class of 2023 at Grafton.
