
Ryann Frye
Ryann Frye, MS, LAT, ATC joined the Pivot Physical Therapy team in July of 2014 as an athletic trainer at Smithsburg High School of Washington County. Ryann works out of the Hagerstown, Maryland clinic. She is a member of the NATA and is BOC certified and Maryland licensed. Her former research includes the Female Athlete Triad, Sports Brassieres, and other women’s topics. She has been working as a high school athletic trainer since 2008 in both public/private school settings throughout Western PA, West Virginia, and Maryland. Additionally, she has begun teaching Introduction to Athletic Training at Smithsburg High School. She also helps provide sports medicine care to Hagerstown Youth Hockey Association.
Ryann earned her Bachelors in Psychobiology at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA, while playing collegiate ice hockey as a goaltender. She earned her Masters in Athletic Training at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Some of her clinical rotations included Edinboro University, Shenandoah University, Shepherd University, and Mercersburg Academy. One of her most memorable experiences is volunteering as a medical provider for the Boston Marathon in 2007.
Outside of work she likes to spend time with her husband and two children. Together they enjoy camping, skiing, sporting events and anything involving water. She also still enjoys playing ice hockey and watching her children compete in sports.
