Rebecca Smith, MS, LAT, ATC is entering her second year with Pivot Physical Therapy – she joined the company in December of 2019 where she is the contracted Athletic Trainer for Sussex Central High School in Georgetown, Delaware. She is BOC certified, licensed in the state of Delaware and a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and the Delaware Athletic Training Association.

In 2017, Smith graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science where she completed an internship with a sports performance clinic. From that internship, she discovered her passion for rehabilitating athletes and pursued her Master’s degree in Athletic Training at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia – graduating in 2019. During her time at Bridgewater College, Smith worked closely with various Division III athletes – including Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, and Baseball. Smith also completed a yearlong clinical rotation at Indian River High School in Dagsboro, Delaware where she gained experience working with secondary level athletes covering all 22 DIAA sanctioned sports including football, wrestling and boys and girls lacrosse.

After graduating from graduate school, Smith moved back to Georgetown, Delaware where she began working at her alma mater – Wesley College, as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Smith provided primary coverage for Division III field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. Following the fall season, Smith accepted her position to take over at Sussex Central High School – another of her alma maters. Outside of work, Smith enjoys living at the beach, traveling, cuddling her dog, Nike and raising her niece, Aurora.
