
Miria Teneza
Miria Teneza is the Oakcrest School Athletic Trainer in Fairfax County, Virginia . She graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelors of science in athletic training. During her time at Ithaca College she was a student athletic trainer for a variety of different sports including Cornell University’s Track and Field. She was a collegiate athlete for the Ithaca College Swimming and Diving team. Participation in multiple sports growing up sparked her first interests in Sports Medicine. She started her dream job as a Pivot high school Athletic Trainer in 2019. She enjoys training her athletes through the return to play process. She makes it a priority to center her health care values around evidence based exercises, patient education and health equity. In her free time, Miria enjoys exercising, cooking and DIY projects. She is BOC certified (ATC), licensed by the state of Maryland and Virginia in Athletic Training (LAT), is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and is CPR/ AED certified.
