Karina Bertness

Karina joined the Pivot Sports Medicine team in August 2017, and serves as the athletic trainer for Martinsburg High School in Martinsburg, WV. She also works out of the Spring Mills Pivot Physical Therapy clinic. Karina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014, where she had the opportunity to work with a variety of athletes including Pitt football and athletes competing in the Special Olympics of Allegheny County. Prior to arriving at Pivot, she worked in Mankato, MN as an athletic trainer for local area high schools and youth sports in her community, as well as served as a graduate teaching assistant and preceptor for the Athletic Training Education Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. When she is not busy caring for her athletes, Karina is likely to be found spending time with friends and family, hiking, and camping.
