Athletic Training Services
A certified athletic trainer will provide medical coverage for a scheduled event or game. This service includes pre-game injury reduction applications, injury decision and action, emergency care, referral, and post-game care.
Concussion Rehabilitation & Management
Our Pivot Sports Medicine team understands every concussion is significant, unique and potentially complex. The mechanism of injury that causes a concussion can damage multiple areas of the body, as well as the brain, including the cervical spine, the inner ear and the eye. Associated damage to multiple areas can cause overlapping signs and symptoms that if not accurately diagnosed and treated, may delay recovery.
Every patient is carefully evaluated, screened, treated and monitored until they are fully recovered. An individualized rehabilitation program is designed and implemented by our concussion specialists to meet the specific needs identified in the evaluation and diagnosis. Each program has safe, structured progressions. We communicate directly with physicians and other healthcare providers in a continuum of care model to ensure that appropriate care and rehabilitation is provided for an athletes’ safe return to play.

Screenings
Injury Screenings
Members may schedule an injury screen with one of our physical therapists at any Pivot Physical Therapy location. Fast-track physical therapy can be scheduled if needed.
Functional Movement Screenings
If you are struggling to figure out what is holding you back from performing your best, our Functional Movement Screen (FMS) combines clinical expertise and experience with the Functional Movement System program. The FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These issues can reduce the effects of functional training, physical conditioning, and distort body awareness.
The FMS is a tool that rates injury risk, identifies problems in the fundamentals of movement, and provides a baseline to get you on the right track. The tool consists of seven movement patterns that are common dynamic movement patterns (squat, high step, lunge) to assess mobility, strength and flexibility of both the upper and lower body as well as the trunk and core. The power of the FMS allows for quick screening of relative symmetry of your body through functional movement patterns. Our Physical Therapists perform free injury evaluations every day. We quickly get to the source of your pain and make recommendations so you can feel better faster.
ProEdge Training Camp
The Pivot ProEdge Camp is a unique 10-week medically supported training program. The goal is to improve performance while reducing the risk of injuries. Our staff will provide individual movement analysis to identify imbalances and subsequent risks and implement corrective strategies and exercises to solve these issues. Sport-specific flexibility, speed, strength, power, agility and core training incorporated to reinforce proper movement to achieve those desired results.
