Pivot Physical Therapy West Virginia High Schools Receive Safe Sports School Award

Due to the outstanding efforts of our athletic trainers, Berkeley County, West Virginia high schools have received the prestigious 1st Team Safe Sports School Award from the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.

To proudly recognize this award, a press conference was held at Spring Mills High School. Attendees of the conference included principals and athletic directors from Hedgesville High School, Musselman High School, Spring Mills High School and Martinsburg High School along with members of the press. Speaking was Chris Horowicz, Regional Manager of Pivot Physical Therapy; Don Dellinger, Deputy Superintendent for Berkeley County Schools; Vince Stilger, President of the West Virginia Athletic Trainer’s Association; Senator Don Cookman and West Virginia Governor Earl Tomblin’s representative, Joy Lewis.

The press conference was followed by a tour of Spring Mills High School athletic facilities led by athletic trainer Lacey Collins. Senator Cookman and Vince Stilger joined our athletic trainers and Scott Ellis, Director of Sports Medicine Outreach and Development on a tour of the new facilities.
