More than 60 Mid-Atlantic Physical Therapy Clinics Become Pivot Physical Therapy

New name reflects strength of services as company unites under one brand

TOWSON, MARYLAND (AUGUST 4, 2014): Five Mid-Atlantic based physical therapy practices
with more than 60 locations across five states and Washington, D.C. have combined and will
now operate as Pivot Physical Therapy.

The clinics are located in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and
Washington, D.C. For over a decade, they have operated as: Professional SportsCare & Rehab,
Maryland SportsCare & Rehab, Professional Physical Therapy & SportsCare, Southern Delaware
Physical Therapy and Littlestown (Pa.) Physical Therapy & SportsCare.

“We chose the name Pivot Physical Therapy as it suggests movement and a turning point
toward recovery and good health. While we have formed a larger company, we remain
hometown therapists providing world-class physical therapy where you live, work, and play,”
said Gary Katz, PT, ATC, CSCS, CEO of Pivot Physical Therapy.

Pivot Physical Therapy employs more than 500 physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and
support staff who specialize in treating athletic injuries, general orthopedics, post-operative
care, total joint rehab, spine care, hand therapy, workplace injury prevention and industrial
rehabilitation, and arthritis and pain management. They also provide wellness consultation and
fitness training.

“Uniting under one organization enables us to leverage the strength and expertise of our
significant company-wide resources in each of the communities we serve. We have an
aggressive growth strategy and plan to open several new clinics in the Mid-Atlantic as well as
expand into new states,” Katz said.

In addition to its clinical practice, Pivot Physical Therapy works closely with more than 40
scholastic and collegiate athletic departments to provide athletic trainers and sports medicine
services for men and women’s junior varsity and varsity sports. Services include year-round,
game day physical sports therapy, comprehensive concussion management programs and injury
screens. Its staff also teaches courses to high school coaches on the prevention and treatment of
athletic injuries.
