Zach Aguiar joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2019. He is a physical therapist treating at the Thomas Johnson Dr. location in Frederick, MD. Zach has certifications in the Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and in the Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete. He has taken extensive coursework including the management of neck and back pain, fitness athlete management, older adult management, treating chronic pain, and spinal manipulation through the Institute of Clinical Excellence and plans on sitting for the Clinical Excellence Certification next April through the same company. Prior to joining Pivot, Zach worked at two orthopedic private practices in Montgomery County.
Zach received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2013 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in 2016.
Zach grew up in Massachusetts and competed in gymnastics since he was 8 and at Temple was a member of their NCAA Div. 1 Mens Gymnastics team. Outside of the clinic Zach lives an active lifestyle with his wife Lauren and dalmatian Todd. Zach does Crossfit at X-Project Fitness in Frederick, is frequently Hiking throughout Frederick County, and enjoys spending time outside with the family. He also coaches Gymnastics part time at Hill’s Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, MD as well to stay involved in the sport.
