Winston Folkes Jr., joined the Pivot Physical Therapy team in September 2020. He works at the Dover, Milford, and Lewes locations. Winston is a board certified and licensed occupational therapist with a concentration in hand and upper extremity injuries. Winston had previously worked in inpatient therapy with older adults in Visalia, CA. Making the transition to outpatient care, Winston is actively pursuing continue education to become a Certified Hand Therapist.

A Jefferson University East Falls Campus (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) alumnus; Winston received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the same institution in 2016 and 2018 respectively. While in his undergraduate studies of Health Sciences, Winston was a member of the Philadelphia University Men’s Basketball (2013 – 2017) and Men’s Track & Field programs (2016- 2018). During that time Winston was a multi-recipient of the NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award. While in his graduate studies of Occupational Therapy, Winston continued his Track & Field career and received the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Degree-Completion Grant. Winston was also an active member of the university’s Black Student Union (BSU).

When not working, Winston is looking to pursue community event/outreach opportunities as well as weightlifting, sports, music, movies, and enjoying company of family and friends.
