Val Vasquez, PT, DPT, COMT, OCS has been practicing for 10 years in orthopedic physical therapy. He was a strength coach for UNC-Wilmington prior to earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at George Washington University. He began his career in Vail, Colorado for Howard Head Sports Medicine before moving back to Wilmington. He is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) under the Maitland Approach and is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. He is a Functional Movement Specialist and has been trained with Blood Flow Restriction through Smart Cuffs.

He works with the UNC-Wilmington Men’s Rugby Club throughout the school year and enjoys surfing in his spare time.
