Physical Therapist

Sarah Stafford, PT, DPT, Cert-DN is a physical therapist practicing at the Brandermill clinic in Midlothian, Virginia.  She started with Pivot Physical Therapy April 2017, but has been practicing outpatient orthopedic therapy in the Richmond area since 2014.  During that time she has gained experience in treating a variety of orthopedic issues for an array of ages.  In 2015 Sarah completed the requirements and received a certification in dry needling from the Spinal Manipulative Institute.  Dry needling has been a wonderful addition to her manual therapy skills and she enjoys helping patients regain their previous function using all her skills.  A background in classical ballet gives Sarah a unique ability and passion for this patient population. She looks forward to furthering her knowledge with Pilates and yoga to give her patients more options in their treatment programs.

Sarah received her Bachelors of Science from Bryan College in Dayton, TN and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL.  She also completed all courses necessary for a manual certification as part of her coursework.  Her clinical rotations gave her experience in pediatrics, geriatrics and sports injuries.

A native of Colonial Heights, Sarah enjoys spending her free time paddle boarding with her dog, ballet dancing, and traveling to places on her bucket list.
