Physical Therapist Assistant

Richard Neal Tullos is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. He joined the Pivot-Athletico team in Germantown, MD in June 2023. He has spent most of his time working in outpatient orthopedics but has also provided care in home health and skilled nursing facilities. He enjoys treating all kinds of patients, ranging from students with sports injuries to pre- and post-operative joint replacements. In addition to being a PTA, he also brings specialized knowledge as a Certified Prosthetic Orthotic Assistant after years of designing and repairing various devices for amputees and orthosis users.

Neal graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2006. He then graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program from the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education in 2013, being awarded the APTA Outstanding Graduate for that year.

In his spare time, Neal spends his free time playing guitar, reading science-fiction to forensic pathology, and has over 15 years of training in various martial arts. He resides with his family in Frederick, MD, where he visits hiking trails and local breweries, and cooks award-winning chili.
