Rashmi joined the Pivot Physical Therapy team as a staff physical therapist in March, 2018. She earned her Doctorate in physical therapy at the Touro College of Health Sciences, NY in 2018. She completed her Bachelors in Physical therapy in 2007 (India), followed by her Masters in health sciences (2015) at the University of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rashmi is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist and Myofascial trigger point Therapist which has strengthened her ability in providing a holistic approach along with hands on treatment in various sports related and orthopedic conditions. Rashmi is also a Certified Vestibular Therapist which enhances her ability to treat patients with post-concussion and vestibular conditions. Apart from being interested in orthopedic and sports injuries, she is keen on managing adult neurological deficits and patients with balance problems. Prior to joining the Pivot team, she worked across multiple setups like inpatient/sub-acute and skilled nursing facilities in Houston, TX, Rashmi brings onboard a vast experience of treating geriatric patients. Through continuing education, she keeps herself updated to the new advancements in her career, in order to strengthen her clinical skills. She is certified in functional mobilization, lumbar pelvic dysfunction, LSVT-Big IASTM by Graston, along with being an APTA certified credentialed instructor (CI).
When not treating patients, she likes to travel, work out, listen to music, dance, and cook. She has a goal to visit all the national parks in the country and do the world tour.
