Olivia May joined Pivot Physical Therapy as a physical therapist in May of 2021, assisting at the Roanoke Towers, Roanoke Salem and Blacksburg, VA locations. She has recently moved to the area from Chicago, IL, after working with Rush Physical Therapy. She brings a wide array of specialties to the area, such as pelvic floor, dry needling and vestibular. She currently has memberships with the APTA as well as PelvicRehab.com in order to further her learning and provide the best care for her patients.
Olivia grew up in Rochester, NY, and is a devoted Buffalo Bills’ fan. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from University of Buffalo, a State University of New York, before moving to Chicago for PT school. While attending Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Olivia was Manager of Intake and Front office for student run inter-professional pro-bono clinic that provided medical, podiatric, physical therapy and psychiatric services to the uninsured population of Chicago. She also helped develop and implement a physical and occupational therapy program to assist Covid-19 survivors with long-term physical effects of the illness.
Olivia is looking forward to getting back into hiking, skiing, and kayaking with her move to beautiful Virginia. She is very into world travel, having visited Japan and Taiwan, with hopes to travel to Europe in the coming years.
