Nicole Vivlamore PT, DPT has been working for Pivot Physical Therapy since 2014 in Gambrills, MD. Nicole graduated from Salisbury University, with honors, in 2008 with her bachelors in Exercise Science. Shortly after, she attended University Maryland of Baltimore earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012.
Since graduation, she has been focusing her skills in outpatient sports orthopedics. Nicole is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics Physical Therapy (OCS). She has developed her manual therapy skills with continuing education courses through Maitland and Mulligan Seminars. She is skilled in kinesio taping techniques to assist with decreasing pain and improving function with musculoskeletal disorders. Nicole has expanded her knowledge of pain science and addressing patients with chronic pain by attending courses through International spine and pain institute (ISPI). Nicole is a certified practitioner of Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). SFMA is an organized system allowing her to analyze a patient’s dysfunctional movement pattern and impairments to help decrease pain with activity. Nicole is certified in dry needling manual therapy which helps to decrease decrease pain and improve function with many neuromuscular diagnosis.
Nicole uses her knowledge to excel with treating patients with chronic pain conditions, simple and complex orthopedic diagnosis’, and spinal disorders. With experience treating high level athletes, weekend warriors and patients with limited mobility, she enjoys working with patients of all ages and activity levels.
Nicole has been a member of the APTA along with being a member of the Orthopedic section. She is a certified clinical instructor and educates physical therapy students in the clinical setting.
Nicole enjoys staying active with going to the gym or running fun 5Ks. In her free time she likes to spend time with friends and family.
