Mona earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, New York, NY, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY.  To further her education and expertise, in 2021, Mona began a PHD program with University of Maryland, Baltimore.  She is studying to gain her PHD in Physical Rehabilitation Sciences.  She is the Clinical Director of the Pivot location in Glen Allen, on West Broad Street, near Gaskin’s Road.

Mona has been practicing since 2005, and has great experience treating a myriad of orthopedic diagnoses. She is experienced and certified in the McKenzie method to treat cervical and lumbar spine dysfunction and has the unique experience with pain related to pregnancy, as well as temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ).

Mona received her certification hand therapy in 2011. She has treated injuries ranging from trauma, to repetitive use injuries, in babies to adults. Mona expanded her certifications and specialties in 2017 to include the vestibular rehabilitation, specializing in balance and dizziness stemming from the inner ear.  Mona is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has earned recognition as a credentialed clinical instructor.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking, traveling, taking adventures and exploring with her two energetic sons, and husband.

Mona practices at Pivot Physical Therapy’s Richmond, VA (Glen Allen) clinic. She holds a Direct Access Certification and is available to evaluate and treat patients without a prescription from a physician.
