Michele G. Battinelli
Michele graduated in 1986 from University of MD at Baltimore in Physical Therapy after completing her BS degree from Loyola College Baltimore. Michele feels very blessed to still love her career choice after many years of practicing! Her experience has been primarily in the outpatient setting with a wide variety of client problems of all ages; sports, orthopedic as well as high level neurological conditions. Her outpatient setting experiences have all been strongly manual therapy based, mostly in the Towson/Baltimore County area.
She has had extensive continuing ed coursework including a Manual Therapy Certification in 1991 through St Augustine Institute with Stanley Paris, PT. Early in her career, she worked closely with foot and ankle specialists, John Senatore, DPM and Lew Schon, MD, serving in a special program treating and providing screenings for dance students at the Baltimore School for the Arts. As a clinic director for a time, she assisted in building an outpatient clinic at the former HealthSouth Spine Center in Towson, working closely with Paul McAffee, MD and Ira Fedder, MD to assist patients in preventing the need for spine surgery and/or for recovering/rehabilitating following spine surgery.
Michele is thrilled to finally practice in her home town of Howard County, joining Pivot in 2016.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and family, especially at the beach.
