Micah Wells


Physical Therapist

Micah was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. He is a Physical Therapist at Pivot’s Foxhall Square location in Washington, DC.

In 2011, Micah graduated from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Therapeutic Studies. Micah then attended Howard University in Washington, DC where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2014. Micah is currently an active member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA); this allows him to stay up-to-date on new trends within the field of physical therapy and to get in-depth hands on experience using innovative ways to treat sports and orthopedic injuries. Micah currently serves on the Board of Directors for the APTA DC chapter. He is currently working through a sports fellowship through the Institute for Athlete Regeneration.

As a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) Micah is able to utilize dry needling, as an intervention, to assist with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries; Micah is also certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), which allows him to conduct sideline medical coverage at sporting events when injuries and emergencies arise. Being a Credentialed Clinical Instructor (CCI), Micah is granted the pleasure of molding student physical therapists into future competent healthcare professionals.

Outside of physical therapy, Micah enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, playing basketball, attending running events with his run club, and traveling the world.
