Physical Therapist Assistant
Meg is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, who worked as a rehab technician for 3 years while going through PT Assistant school, and who joined the Williamsburg Pivot team as a licensed therapist assistant in the Fall of 2018 after she graduated with an Associates of Applied Science degree from Tidewater Community College’s PTA program earlier that year. Meg is the aquatic therapist at the Williamsburg clinic, and she enjoys helping people work through orthopedic and neurological injuries and conditions by using both land and pool exercises, as well as manual therapy techniques, to reduce their pain and improve their strength and movement in order to help them get back to doing the things they love. She has taken courses in joint mobilizations and in understanding neurodynamics, and is also an anatomy and physiology nerd who loves helping people understand how their bodies work so that they not only heal from their injuries, but have the tools on how to live a healthier lifestyle.
Meg is a Virginia Beach native who loves spending time on, in, and near water. She also loves going on hiking adventures with her 3-legged super dog, and loves curling up on the couch with her kitty and a good book.
