Physical Therapist

Linda Medio is a senior physical therapist at the Washington Street location in Wilmington, DE. She has been a PT for 21 years and worked initially in Massachusetts. Initially, she worked in subacute rehabilitation in multiple skilled nursing facilities after graduation. She enjoyed this time working with patients after surgery and hospitalizations. She found it very fulfilling assisting these patients gain the strength and confidence in order to return home. Upon relocating to Delaware with her family, she worked at Saint Francis hospital and then transitioned to Dynamic PT performing outpatient therapy. She has been with Dynamic for over 10 years until Dynamic transitioned over to Pivot. Outpatient therapy has allowed her the chance to work with orthopaedic, neurological, geriatric and pediatric patients with a spectrum of diseases/injuries. Treating motor vehicle and workers compensation patients is rewarding especially when they return to their work and daily activities pain free. She enjoys working with vestibular patients-“dizziness” because of the challenge of this patient population. The most rewarding part of her occupation is building a rapport with patients.

She graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in PT from Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT in 1997. She was the captain of our universities Cross Country team. She ran for Quinnipiac all 4 years. She enjoyed the time spent at Quinnipiac both professionally with the PT program and with her Cross Country teammates. She also met her husband while at Quinnipiac.

Currently, Linda stays active running, lifting weights and spending time with her family and friends. All three of her children are involved in sports from Softball to lacrosse and dance. She is just as happy to be running a road race as she is watching her children compete. Being from New England, she is an avid Boston sports team fan. All year round, she enjoys spending time at the Delaware Beaches. She is happy to call Delaware her home.
