
Katina Shockley
Katina is a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Laurel, DE office. Special areas of interest include concussion treatment and management, sports related injuries, shoulder dysfunctions, and manual therapy. She is an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor and enjoys educating the next generation of Physical Therapist Assistants. Her past work experiences include skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, aquatics, acute care, and outpatient therapy. The opportunity to work in a variety of settings has further enhanced her knowledge and clinical skills. For the last 15 years, her focus has been in outpatient PT, where she has further expanded her manual skills with Myofascial Release and Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. Katina’s personal goal is to make people feel better and improve their overall function and quality of life by getting to the cause of the problem, not just treating the symptoms.
Katina graduated Summa Cum Laude from Delaware Technical and Community College, Owen’s Campus, in 2002 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree. She was student of the year in 2002, a member of the PTA Club, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, event planning, and spending quality time with her family.
