Joanne Sadaya-Guillermo, PT, CMTPT, CSCI, CPI is currently a staff physical therapist at the Springfield, VA location. She joined Pivot in August 2021. Joanne’s specialization in the last several years has been in outpatient Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her caseload includes both acute and chronic care orthopedic injuries, with special focus on post-operative care. She utilizes a variety of manual therapy techniques including, but not limited to, soft tissue and joint mobilizations, myofascial release, Strain Counterstrain techniques (spine & extremities- I, II & III), and Intramuscular Therapy/ Dry Needling techniques. She is a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (Dry Needling- Intramuscular Therapy), Certified Strength & Conditioning Instructor and a Certified Pilates Instructor (floor exercises). She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctors’ University, Philippines in 1989. She has been a licensed, practicing PT since 1990 and has continually worked in various areas of Physical Therapy since moving to the United States. Such areas include acute-care hospitals, home healthcare, nursing home/ long-term rehab care and outpatient neurological/ orthopedic & sports medicine clinics. She has additionally been involved in canine rehabilitation.

Her hobbies include watching baseball, hockey, and football, reading and writing fiction, and being a doggie mother to her two dogs, a Beagle mix and an English Coonhound.
