Emily Merten is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer who joined Pivot/Athletico Physical Therapy in 2015 in Frederick, MD. In 2017, Emily became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist after completing the Pivot/Athletico’s Orthopedic Residency Program. In addition to utilizing her orthopaedic specialty in her clinical practice, Emily also serves as a mentor for other orthopaedic residents and physical therapy students. Emily is also certified and experienced in dry needling. Future clinical practice plans include additional specialization in sports and/or manual therapy. With Emily’s background in athletic training, she has a passion for sports medicine, injury prevention, and overall performance enhancement.
