Physical Therapist Assistant
Elizabeth joined the Pivot/Athletico team in August of 2022 at the Smithfield-Brightleaf location. She grew up in Morgantown, WV, eventually settling in NC to raise her family. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University n 2000. She later obtained an AAS in Physical Therapist Assistant from Nash Community College in 2012.
Following her passion to help the community in which she resides, Elizabeth identified and answered a significant community need by completing the coursework to become a Certified Lymphatic Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in February 2023. Her other specialties and certifications include a minor in Aquatic Therapy (WVU 2000), ATRI aquatic therapy certification, YMCA water fitness instructor certification, Graston Technique Level 1 certification, Postural restoration coursework, and Dynamic Taping coursework. Prior to joining the Pivot/Athletico team, Elizabeth worked in an outpatient Aquatic and traditional PT clinic in Raleigh. She has also worked in an acute/hospital setting, in-patient rehab, Home Health, and skilled nursing facilities.
Elizabeth lives in the Raleigh area with her husband of 22 years, Brian. They have two college-aged children (Austin and Zachary) and 3 dogs (Kona, Cali, and Whiskey). In her spare time, she enjoys photography, baking, travelling, spending time at the beach, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.
