Derek Stanley is a physical therapist and Clinical Director at our Eldersburg location for Pivot Physical Therapy. His passion is working with and helping those in need. He loves seeing his patients progress and return to form prior to their injury. Derek joined our team in June of 2019 after working for 2 years at MedStar. He recently also obtained his Vestibular certification through the American Institute of Balance in 2020.

Derek earned his Bachelors degrees in Biology at Towson University. Then he decided to attend University of Maryland Eastern Shore in order to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. After graduating from PT school Derek accepted a job at MedStar where he focused primarily on both Orthopedics and Neurological conditions.

Outside of work Derek loves spending time with his Doberman Macy. He loves being outside hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and exploring new places.
