Physical Therapist

Courtney is a graduate of New Kent High School in New Kent, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Cellular, Molecular, and Physiological Biology and a minor in Psychology from Christopher Newport University in 2014. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 2017. She joined Pivot Physical Therapy in June of 2017 and is currently a Physical Therapist at our clinic in Norge, VA.

Growing up not far from Norge, Courtney enjoys the “hometown” and community feel that working in the setting of Norge, VA brings. Her training and clinical experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting have provided her with the skills and qualifications needed to treat patients with a range of musculoskeletal impairments. She enjoys learning from others around her as well as utilizing her skills in evidence-based practice to educate patients and help them achieve their goals while following their rehabilitation progress.

Courtney first discovered her passion for physical therapy when she was a young student athlete in high school who had injuries that required physical therapy. That passion grew as she continued through college when she worked as a Physical Therapy Tech for Tidewater Physical Therapy and she realized how important it was to her to be able to help people of all ages to improve their physical health.

Outside of work, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, DIY/home projects, shopping, football games, and spending time on the river.
