Chandra McFarland


Physical Therapist, Clinic Director

Chandra McFarland is the Clinical Director and a Physical Therapist at our Magruder location in Hampton, Virginia. She joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2014. She is trained in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. Chandra has a passion for addressing pain and orthopedic dysfunctions, always seeking to resolve the source of the dysfunction while educating the patient to manage their condition.

In 2009, Chandra began her PT career at HealthSouth Rehab Hospital outpatient where she worked as Senior Physical Therapist and Spine Program Champion in Fayetteville Arkansas; here she treated a geriatric population with an assortment of neurologic conditions, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, spinal cord injuries, joint replacements, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Chandra also worked at Russ Physical Therapy as an outpatient orthopedic Physical Therapist in Bentonville Arkansas addressing chronic neck and back pain, foot pain, athletic injuries, surgical procedures, and other orthopedic conditions. Most recently, Chandra worked for Advanced Orthopedic Specialist as the Clinical Director for a primarily orthopedic surgical population in Fayetteville Arkansas, where she treated patients with joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstructions, and other surgical procedures.

Chandra received her Bachelors in Science Degree in Management and Marketing from Arkansas Tech University in 2006 and in 2009 a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway Arkansas. In 2020, she became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association, a certification demonstrating advanced knowledge of orthopedic pathologies and current concepts of best practice for treatments.

Outside of work, Chandra enjoys spending time with family including her husband and two young daughters, traveling, photography, and outdoor activities.
