
Carla Taylor
Carla joined Pivot Physical Therapy in November 2021 as a traveling therapist. In July 2022, Carla transitioned to a permanent PT in Salisbury, MD (Mt. Hermon). She has taken advantage of the multitude of educational opportunities and completed courses including myofascial release and treatment through mobilization, Graston Technique (IASTM), APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor, sports taping, aquatics, and functional strength and balance in the active aging adult.
Carla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2007. (Go TERPS!) She then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2010. She practiced in Hawaii after receiving her DPT degree. She has worked in numerous PT settings ranging from acute care, sub-acute care, trauma, burn unit, home health, outpatient orthopedics, and pediatrics/school. She has also worked in California for seven years and the District of Columbia.
Since 2021, Carla resides in Fruitland, MD. She enjoys time with her family and friends, being active and outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, yoga, running, standup paddling, kayaking, reading, and music. Traveling is another passion of hers and having new adventures.
