
Callie Carter
Callie started working at Pivot Physical Therapy after receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University. She also holds her bachelors in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech. Callie is certified in the Graston technique, Blood Flow Restriction, and is a Functional Standards of Optimizing Aging Expert. She is also currently pursuing a vestibular certification through the American Institute of Balance. Callie also enjoys research in the field of physical therapy and has presented at CSM, as well as internationally at Collaborating Across Borders in Banff, Canada.
Her infectious laugh can be heard throughout the clinic as she aims to provide each patient with an enjoyable atmosphere during therapy. She also loves to find new and creative ways to challenge her patient’s daily to optimize functionality. Callie enjoys working with all different diagnosis and age groups with some of her favorite diagnosis including balance in the elderly, vestibular patients, and sports injuries.
When Callie isn’t treating patients in the clinic she is enjoying time with her husband and puppy “Laney.” In the fall, she will be found at Virginia Tech football games cheering on the HOKIES. Her other passions include kayaking, spending time at the river, and working on her family dairy farm.
