Brittany Deuso started working for Pivot/Athletico in 2012 and has been at the Great Bridge clinic since 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2009 then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012, both from Old Dominion University. Brittany has since earned the Pelvic Rehab Practitioner Certification (PRPC), Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist in Dry Needling (CMTPT), and Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). She has also received certifications in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and is a Certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA. Brittany has received additional training in the McKenzie Method for treating the cervical and lumbar spine.
Brittany enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic injuries and surgical patients. Her primary specialty is treating various pelvic floor dysfunctions in all genders. She enjoys treating patients throughout all stages of pregnancy and postpartum to ensure an optimal recovery and return to pre-pregnancy level of function and recreation. She is also certified to treat various bladder dysfunctions, bowel dysfunctions, post-op recoveries, and pelvic and abdominal pain. Brittany is passionate about treating this patient population and strives to ensure they receive the best and most thorough care possible.
Brittany grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and has lived in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake since 2012. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys working out, craft shows, trying new local restaurants, and spending time with family, her husband, and two sons.
