Physical Therapist

Ashley R. K., PT, DPT, Cert DN, AIB-VRC is a board-certified physical therapist. Ashley graduated with the highest honors from Old Dominion University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2019. She is a proud graduate of James Madison University, majoring in Health Science.

Ashley provides high quality evidenced based rehabilitation services to all orthopedic and sports populations but has a unique niche of practice working with competitive cheerleaders and gymnasts. She was a collegiate cheerleader at Hawaii Pacific University and together with her teammates, won the NCA College National Championship in 2011. She was recently featured in the American Physical Therapy Association’s magazine highlighting the top physical therapists working with gymnasts. She has worked with novice youth athletes all the way to D1 college gymnasts and cheerleaders. She is the go-to physical therapist for screening, performance training and rehabilitation for competitive cheerleaders and gymnasts in Central VA.

Ashley is a certified vestibular and concussion therapist through the American Institute of Balance. She is also a dry needling specialist certified through the Spinal Manipulation Institute. Ashley is a direct access provider and can treat patients without a prescription for physical therapy.

Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys spending time with her young children, Cooper & Addison, husband Connor, and chocolate lab mix, Kona. Ashley’s favorite weekend activities include hiking, kayaking, visiting JMU and boat days on Lake Anna with family and friends.
