Ashley Forrest
Ashley Forrest, PT, DPT saw firsthand how physical therapists help get patients back to living an active lifestyle at an early age. After tearing her ACL in 8th grade, she endured months of physical therapy in order to get back on the basketball and volleyball courts. From that time on, she knew she wanted to become a physical therapist in order to help patients the same way her physical therapist had helped her.
Ashley joined Tidewater Physical Therapy in 2001 as a staff physical therapist at the Denbigh clinic and became the clinical director there in 2004. When Tidewater Physical Therapy was acquired by Pivot Physical Therapy in 2017, she continued as the clinical director of the Denbigh clinic. Ashley treats all orthopedic conditions but has a special interest in treating patients with TMJ dysfunction, surgical knee and shoulder patients in addition to patients with cervical or lumbar spine pain.
After growing up in Richmond, VA, Ashley attended the University of Virginia where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She went on to attend Virginia Commonwealth University to earn her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions in 2019. Ashley is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children, traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching her children participate in sporting events and heading to Charlottesville to cheer on the Wahoos.
