Allison is a physical therapist at the Chesapeake Beach and Dunkirk, MD clinics. She moved from California in August of 2016 and joined Pivot. She is a certified LSVT BIG™ therapist, member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and pursuing a specialization in orthopedics. She has experience working with veterans and current military personnel, law enforcement, and athletes.
Allison graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2016. During her time as a student, she volunteered with Navy Safe Harbor where she helped train athletes for the Wounded Warrior Games. Community service has always been a focus for Allison, leading her to instruct children with disabilities on how to swim to raise money for the DisAbility Sports Festival. As Allison’s knowledge of physical therapy grew, she began to integrate her knowledge by joining a select group of students in a program called Street Medicine; allowing her to help provide physical therapy to communities without healthcare.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys participating in sports and outdoors activities. She has been riding horses since she was 12 years old and has experience with jumping and dressage. Every summer she would hike in the local mountains in Southern California and would regularly summit up to 12,000 feet. Allison hopes to tackle Mt. Whitney’s impressive 14,500 feet in her lifetime.
