
Alexandra Holt
Alexandra Holt, DPT joined Pivot Physical Therapy in Severn in 2015. She studied Kinesiology at the University of Maryland College Park, and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in 2012. During this time she participated as a Division 1 athlete for the Maryland Track and Field Team, throwing the discus and javelin. She then continued on to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore for her graduate studies in physical therapy. She had the opportunity to travel to Colorado Springs, CO and complete a clinical affiliation for the U.S. Air Force Academy through Cadet Basic Training. In 2015, Alexandra graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy and was awarded the 2015 Joseph Beatus Award for Excellence in Patient-Centered Care Award.
Since graduating Alexandra has chosen to further her skill set with different certifications and courses. She is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), which allows a systematic approach to identifying underlying causes of a patient diagnosis. In addition, she is certified in Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling, which is helpful for numerous musculoskeletal conditions. As an APTA certified Clinical Instructor she hosts students from different Physical Therapy schools during their clinical affiliations.
Alexandra is a native to the Anne Arundel County region and continues to be involved in local events. In her spare time she enjoys running, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
