
Albert Chen
Albert Chen, PT, DPT joined Pivot Physical Therapy in June 2019 as a physical therapist at the Wake Forest, NC location. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life and treating orthopedic conditions, and also working with student athletes and weekend warriors return to their favorite sports. He is certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training through Smart Tools to improve strength and aerobic capacity for a faster return to functional and recreational activities. He is also certified in Myofascial Trigger Point Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars to treat myofascial trigger point pain, improve range of motion, and decrease pain.
Albert graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Psychology. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marshall University in 2019. During his time at Marshall University, his capstone project was contributing to research for validating the Active Joint Position Test for patients with carpal tunnel syndrome or carpal tunnel release. He presented at the national APTA Combined Sections Meeting in Washington DC, 2019.
Albert was raised in Columbus, Ohio and San Diego, California. During his free time, he enjoys hiking, scuba diving, watching sports, and anything food related. He is an avid Los Angeles Lakers, (San Diego!) Chargers fan, and the Ohio State University fan.
