Pivot Physical Therapy

Amy Gwynn

Amy Gwynn, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Amy joined Pivot Physical Therapy's Keisler Drive clinic in Cary in November 2015. Amy has a special interest in incorporating Pilates and yoga into rehabilitation, and is passionate about figuring out ways to make fitness and rehabilitation intersect for individual patients to effect long-term lifestyle changes. Amy is certified in mat Pilates through NC Pilates in Durham, NC, and is finishing her Pilates equipment certification there as well. Amy also has a passion for treating patients with vestibular and balance issues.

Amy graduated with a B.A. with highest honors in Exercise & Sport Science in 2012, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2015, both from UNC-Chapel Hill. Amy spent time during her PT education on clinical rotations in many settings including home health, pediatrics, school-based, acute care, in-patient rehab, and out-patient rehab treating patients from 10 days-100 years old.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, and practicing yoga & Pilates, of course!
